STANDARD TERMS FOR BUYING A HORSE

Terms may vary from seller to seller.  Please contact us for specifics on a particular horse.

 

Most of the horses seen on our website are owned solely by us.  However, we do offer marketing services for other horse owners.  All information gathered on such horses is provided by the owners and is presumed to be true.  Therefore, Little Savage Ranch, LLC and anyone acting on its behalf shall not be held responsible for any misrepresentation of the client horses listed.  Buyers should carefully examine prospective purchases themselves before entering into any transactions.  All decisions on price, payment method, and guarantees are made by the owners.  Little Savage Ranch, LLC or anyone acting on its behalf should not be held responsible for any disputes or claims involved in transactions resulting from a listing on our website.

 

 

  • Horses are not considered SOLD until paid for in full.  Liability and loss of the horse become the Buyer's once monies have been paid and a Sales Agreement or Bill of Sale has been signed.  All monies paid are non-refundable unless clearly defined in writing.
  • Pre-purchase exams are welcomed at the expense of the Buyer.  Seller may assist in coordinating the exam with a local Veterinarian if the Buyer so desires. Due to the subjective nature of such exams, the Seller will not be responsible for mistakes made by the Veterinarian and the Buyer hold the Seller harmless.  The Buyer will be fully responsible for all Veterinary Exams.
  • A signed Sales Agreement and a deposit are required to hold any horse.  The deposit will hold the horse pending a vet check or until weaning in the case of a foal.  Any other holds must be pre-arranged and clearly defined in writing with signatures from both the Seller and the Buyer.
  • It is recommended that the horse be picked up immediately after full payment has been made.  If the horse cannot be picked up immediately, it is recommended that the Buyer insure the horse for the purchase price. 
  • Horses are sold to approved homes only.  All Sellers reserve the right to refuse a sale.
  • All horses are clearly represented with no attempts to hide faults or defects.  Any known issues will be fully disclosed to the best of our knowledge.  At the time of purchase, the Buyer will accept the horse as is with any and all faults or defects that may now exist or subsequently appear.  Any implied warranty of fitness, merchantability, or otherwise is excluded.  Buyer will hold Seller harmless in the event that any accident, injury, or death to animal, persons or property occurs directly or indirectly involving this horse in the future.
